Police arrest third suspect in Dadeville mass shooting

Law enforcement have arrested Wilson LaMar Hill Jr., 20, and charged him with four counts of reckless murder in a mass shooting at a Dadeville "sweet 16" birthday party, officers said.

Special agents with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s State Bureau of Investigation arrested Hill at about 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to an ALEA news release. Hill is an Auburn resident.

The first two people arrested on four counts of reckless murder are Tyreese "Ty Reik" McCullough, 17, and Travis McCullough, 16. The McCulloughs are brothers who live in Tuskegee.

Officers arrested the brothers at about 8 p.m. Tuesday, according to the news release.

The teens are being charged as adults, said 5th Circuit District Attorney Mike Segrest, according to a previous report from the Montgomery Advertiser. An Aniah's Law hearing will be scheduled within 72 hours, he said. The law, passed last year, allows for defendants facing certain violent crimes to be held without bail. The state will be seeking no bail, he said.

The Montgomery Advertiser is naming the juvenile suspects because they are being charged as adults and because of the severity of the charges.
