Photos of Dodger Stadium go viral after Tropical Storm Hilary hits Los Angeles
Corrections/clarifications: A previous version of this story misstated the extent of the standing water around Dodger Stadium.
The Los Angeles Dodgers rescheduled their Sunday game against the Miami Marlins and played a doubleheader on Saturday instead due to the arrival of Tropical Storm Hilary.
The storm made its way up to Southern California Sunday, bringing heavy rain and strong wind gusts throughout the region. Mud and boulders spilled onto highways, trees were knocked down and streets were flooded as a flash flood warning was in effect through Monday morning.
A helicopter flying over Dodger Stadium on Monday morning took a video that appeared to show flooding in the parking lots, but experts told the Associated Press that it was something of an optical illusion.
"The stadium is completely fine, there was no flooding or damage to the property whatsoever. It was business as usual," a Dodgers spokesperson said in a statement to USA TODAY Sports.
The "opaque look" of the photos and video made it look that the parking lots were covered in standing water Mark Holtzman, president of West Coast Aerial Photography, told the AP.

“It’s just the way you’ve got the rain affecting it, you’ve got the light coming in on gray,” said Holtzman.
The videos were shot by persons not associated with the team.
Dodger Stadium conditions
The Dodgers told the AP that the field may have even been playable on Monday night (the team was on the road).
As reports of the stadium was trending, the team posted an update on the Chavez Ravine area Monday with the parking lot appearing dry.
"Dodger Stadium trending? We get it. It looks beautiful this morning," the team said.
