Peoria used sporting goods store now is fully stocked, 'fully functioning'
Underdog Sports & Fanfare in Peoria now has a full roster.
When the roughly 4,500-square-foot storefront opened last fall, it wasn't yet fully stocked, owner Paul Layton told the Journal Star.

But a recent Facebook post showed shelves, racks and bins loaded with gear, supplies and merchandise. Underdog buys and resells used sports equipment. The store also offers new sports-themed items.
Layton said Wednesday it's now a "fully functioning" store.
In addition to the used "play it again" gear — shoes, uniforms, helmets and more — Underdog Sports carries a range of new pro- and college-themed merchandise, including flags, welcome mats, waste baskets and even trailer hitches.

Layton said sales at the Peoria store, 4650 N. Brandywine Drive, have recently outpaced those at Underdog's Springfield location. "The discount community has been wonderful," he added.
