What's the most impressive number from OU softball's 46-game winning streak?

NORMAN — OU softball comes into this weekend’s super regional with more than just a Women’s College World Series berth on the line.

The Sooners are on the brink of history, having won 46 consecutive games.

A win in Friday’s first game of the super regional against Clemson would tie the all-time mark, set by Arizona in 1996-97. A win there coupled with a win Saturday would not only send the Sooners back to the WCWS but give them the longest streak outright.

“I don’t count the wins,” Sooners coach Patty Gasso said Wednesday. “I don’t look back in the record books. I don’t talk about it, we don’t think about it.

“We just want to get to the World Series — that’s it. Trophies stay here forever, titles stay here forever, records are meant to be broken.”

Here’s a look at 46 of the numbers behind OU’s winning streak.
