OU softball catcher Kinzie Hansen reportedly returning to Sooners for fifth season

It's not exactly a surprise, but catcher Kinzie Hansen is reportedly returning for a fifth season with the OU softball team as part of the NCAA's extra year of eligibility for players affected by the canceled 2020 COVID season.

Hansen, who has played in 185 games across four seasons, reportedly told News 9 of her return Sunday before appearing on the "Sports Blitz" later in the evening.

In her OU career, Hansen is hitting .387 with 49 home runs and 178 runs batted in.
