OU men's and women's basketball teams announce 2023-24 Big 12 opponents
The OU men's and women's basketball teams announced their Big 12 opponents for the 2023-24 season.
The men hope to find their footing after going 15-17 (5-13 Big 12) last season and missing the NCAA Tournament. Meanwhile, the women look to pick up where they left off after going 26-7 (14-4 Big 12) last season and reaching the NCAA Tournament's Round of 32.
Due to the Big 12's expansion to 14 teams, the 18-game conference schedule only features five repeat opponents. The schedules were determined based on a combination of geography, historical results and a poll of the coaches, per release.
Dates for conference games have not yet been announced, but here's a look at the opponents for both the OU men's and women's basketball teams:

Home-only opponents: BYU, Houston, Texas Tech and West Virginia

Of the four new teams to join the Big 12, Cincinnati is the only team OU will face both at home and on the road. The Bearcats went 23-13 last season (11-7 AAC) and ultimately lost to Utah Valley in the NIT Quarterfinals.
OU also caught a break by only having to play Houston at home. The Cougars boast a combined home record of 61-5 in the past four seasons.
OU is tasked with facing Baylor exclusively on the road, though. The Sooners haven't won a game in Waco, Texas, since Jan. 23, 2016.
