In a vote that ended Aug. 25, Dispatch.com readers selected the The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center high school Athlete of the Week for competitions that took place from before Aug. 21.

This week's winner is Olentangy football player Preston Harrison.

Harrison had a touchdown, a two-point conversion and two tackles for loss in a 46-35 win over Toledo Whitmer.

Harrison received 31.9% of the vote and was followed by Thomas Worthington football player Isaiah Bowers, who received 27.9%, St. Charles soccer player Charlie Saas (11%), Olentangy Orange football player Levi Davis (5.9%), Johnstown football player Kaynen Lindsey (4.1%), Grove City football player Parker Toadvine (3.4%), Licking Heights football player Jake Lopinto (3.1%), Grove City football player Matthew Papas (2.9%) and Lakewood volleyball player Josie Lynch (2.3%).

Bowers, the runner-up, rushed for 156 yards and two touchdowns on 25 carries in a 27-26 win over Beechcroft.

Sass scored with 2 seconds remaining in a 1-0 victory over Dublin Coffman.

Davis completed 25 of 35 passes for 272 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 64 yards and three touchdowns on 12 carries in a 42-35 win over West Clermont.

Lindsey had 28 carries for 151 yards and two touchdowns in a 26-22 loss to Licking Heights.

Toadvine had five catches for 100 yards and a touchdown in a 59-20 win over Dublin Scioto.

Lopinto had eight carries for 73 yards and a touchdown and four catches for 99 yards in a 26-22 win over Johnstown.

Papas completed 21 of 30 passes for 357 yards and four touchdowns in a 59-20 win over Dublin Scioto.

Lynch had 35 assists in matches against West Muskingum and Fairfield Union.

Nominations are due Monday mornings for competitions that took place the previous week.

Anyone can nominate an athlete through Twitter tagging @BrianWhite13 or by email to bwhite1@dispatch.com.

Once athletes win during the regular season, they're not eligible to be back on the ballot until the postseason. Athletes who have not been a recipient of one of the weekly awards can be nominated more than once.
