Ohio State football returned to its Glenville High School pipeline Saturday to add a tight end to the 2024 class.

Witten chose Ohio State with offers from Michigan, Michigan State, Miami, Oregon, Tennessee and Texas, among others.
The 6-foot-4, 215-pound tight end from Cleveland is the latest in a long line of Glenville football players to make the jump to Ohio State, along with wide receiver Ted Ginn Jr., cornerback Marshon Lattimore, safety Donte Whitner, quarterback Troy Smith, quarterback Cardale Jones and 2023 linebacker signee Arvell Reese.
Ohio State also added Glenville four-star cornerback and the No. 1 recruit in Ohio Bryce West in the 2024 recruiting class Saturday.
According to Glenville coach Ted Ginn Sr, Witten is a game-changing talent.
“It was never a doubt who he was, what he could do,” Ted Ginn Sr. said. “He’s a freak of nature. And they don’t come that often.”
Witten joins West, Garrett Stover, Deontae Armstrong, Devontae Armstrong, Sam Williams-Dixon and Marc Nave as Ohio State's in-state commits in the 2024 class.
Witten is Ohio State's first in-state tight end commit since three-star Joe Royer joined the Buckeyes' 2020 class out of Elder High School in Cincinnati.
