No one injured after collision sends school bus into pole in Brockton
BROCKTON – A two-vehicle collision sent a school bus crashing into a utility pole at Bouve Avenue and Menlo Street shortly after noon Friday, officials said.
"It was pretty benign," Brockton Fire Chief Brian Nardelli said.
A 2011 Chevrolet SUV and the Brockton school bus collided, sending the bus into a utility pole and a fence. The school bus was empty at the time of the crash and the driver was not injured, he said.
"National Grid is on the scene replacing the telephone pole now," Nardelli said.
The Brockton Fire Department remained on the scene Friday afternoon while the bus was towed from the scene.
The crash is being investigated by the Brockton Police Department.
The intersection reopened shortly after, Nardelli said.
