NEENAH − Allie Ziebell has been selected for the USA Women's U19 National Basketball Team.

The Neenah junior standout was named to one of the 12 spots on the team and will be coached by Joni Taylor of Texas A&M University. Ziebell is one of just two high school juniors on the team, which is made up mostly of college freshmen.

Ziebell was a unanimous first-team pick on The Associated Press all-state team this past season and was also the Gatorade state player of the year. She averaged 25.5 points, 8.6 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 2.0 steals and 1.0 blocks.

"We are so proud of Allie Ziebell," Neenah girls basketball head coach Andy Braunel said. "She's such a hard worker and puts so much into her game. Last year, she used that experience with the USA trials as a learning experience to grow her game and earn a spot this year. As a program, we are not surprised that she raised her game to earn a spot this year."

The U19 National Team will compete in the 2023 FIBA U19 Women's World Cup from July 15-23 in Madrid, Spain. The team was selected by the USA Basketball Women's Junior National Team Committee and will have a training camp in Colorado Springs, Colorado, in early July.
