NCHSAA high school basketball playoffs brackets: NCHSAA announces regional sites, times
For the second year in a row, Fayetteville will have two high school basketball teams playing for a regional championship in the NCHSAA playoffs.
E.E. Smith boys basketball (26-3), the No. 2 seed in the 3A East, will face UNC recruit Drake Powell and top-seeded Northern Nash (27-2) at 4 p.m. Saturday at Southern Lee for a spot in the 3A state championship.
Cape Fear girls basketball (25-4), the No. 4 seed in the 3A East, will play No. 2 Rocky Mount (29-1) at 2 p.m. at Southern Lee.
