NBA correspondent Kendrick Perkins gives Nets’ Mikal Bridges props for career-scoring night against the Heat

Brooklyn Nets forward Mikal Bridges had quite the night in Wednesday’s 116-105 win over the Miami Heat. He scored 45 points (11 more than his previous career-high of 34) and he did it on only 24 shots.

Bridges is regarded as a good all-around player, but most people assume that he’s a better defensive player than he is an offensive player. However, Wednesday’s performance may be changing some opinions around the league. He was also 4-of-6 from behind the three-point line, 7-of-7 from the free-throw line, and posted eight rebounds, five assists, two steals and two steals.

Bridges could do no wrong against the Heat. Even after Miami started sending double-teams his way, Bridges continued to fire and continued to hit big shot after big shot. He was a +15 which tied teammate Nic Claxton for the most on the team and in the game. NBA correspondent Kendrick Perkins tweeted his approval of how Bridges played and also implied that the Phoenix Suns prevented him from realizing his true potential.
