National Geographic's Video of a Chameleon Changing Colors Is Just the Coolest

Is there really anything cooler than watching a chameleon change colors as it moves along? Nope, there really isn't! Which is why I could watch this @National Geographic TV video on repeat...I just wish it was longer.

In the video we see former jungle guide and educator (and host of the show Primal Survivor) Hazen Audel admiring a chameleon that he came across. As the lizard moves along, he changes colors right in front of our eyes, and it's totally fascinating to watch!

National Geographic says in the caption that chameleons and their camouflage abilities make them true masters of disguise, and I tend to agree! The video starts with the chameleon looking green with a few white spots, but after Hazen puts it on the bush, it immediately changes colors to all different shades of green to blend in and hide itself. Hazen explains this is the lizard's only defense against predators. I guess that's why they're so good at it! Interestingly enough, they will also change colors to reflect their moods. For instance, when they change to darker colors, it's been researched that those colors reflect anger. They also change colors during mating seasons. Who knew?!

Surprisingly, there weren't any good comments worth mentioning. Maybe people weren't as mesmerized by the video as I was. I for one would like National Geographic TV to share more videos of chameleons changing colors. Bring it on, guys!
