Multi-million dollar winning lottery ticket sold in a North Texas gas station

The lucky numbers for the latest Lotto Texas jackpot were discovered in North Texas.

At the Tiger Mart 51 on Interstate 20 in Weatherford, about 30 miles west of Fort Worth, the ticket winning an $8 million jackpot in the June 17 drawing was sold.

The person who bought the ticket selected the cash value option at the time of purchase, meaning they will receive $4,784,297.17 before taxes, according to a Texas Lottery news release.

The winning numbers were 2-5-13-16-23-28. The person with the ticket has until Dec. 14 to claim the winnings.

“We look forward to meeting and congratulating the winner of this Lotto Texas jackpot prize,” said Gary Grief, executive director of the Texas Lottery, in the release. “If you have the winning ticket, we encourage you to sign the ticket, put it in a safe place, seek financial and legal advice, and call the Texas Lottery to schedule an appointment to claim the prize.”

The next Lotto Texas jackpot drawing will be held Wednesday, with an estimated prize of $5.25 million before taxes. Will lightning strike twice in Weatherford?
