Motorcyclist killed in collision on Clinton Highway
A 44-year-old Tennessee man was killed in an early-morning collision when his motorcycle was hit by a sedan on Clinton Highway on July 27, according to a preliminary report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
Christopher Phillips was on a motorcycle and traveling north on Highway 25 near Claxton in Anderson County at about 5:20 a.m., the report said. A car traveling southbound crossed the center line into the northbound lane and hit the motorcycle, the report said.
Phillips, who was wearing a helmet, was killed, the report said.
