A turnover on downs leads to a touchdown
When Missouri needed a big play, Austin Firestone and Luther Burden answered the call.
The Northwestern transfer sacked Ken Seals on fourth down to secure a turnover on downs, and Cook hit Burden for a touchdown to go up 38-21 with four minutes to play. That should just about do it.
Vanderbilt isn't going away
After Johnson's long reception, Vanderbilt gets right back on the board with a 45-yard touchdown pass from Seals to Junior Sherrill.
It's 31-21, Missouri still leads. The Tigers could potentially put the game away with a sustained drive that chews up plenty of clock.
Marquis Johnson goes deep and deepens the MU lead
Will Sheppard's long touchdown reception was outdone by Missouri's true freshman.
Marquis Johnson catches a 44-yard touchdown and MU is back in front by three scores with a 31-14 lead. The freshman's blazing speed is on display for the second game in a row.
Vanderbilt cuts into Missouri's lead
Two plays after forcing a turnover on downs, the Commodores get into the end zone with their most dependable receiver.
Will Sheppard took a Seals pass and went 31 yards for a score. That makes it a 24-14 game with about 13 minutes remaining.

Tigers open up the second half in major control
Taking the opening kick of the second half, Missouri went right down the field and extended its lead.
An 18-yard touchdown toss to Luther Burden puts MU up 24-7. The Tigers' offense has started clicking, and the results are a comfortable lead.
Halftime: Missouri 17, Vanderbilt 7
Wease pushes MU's lead
With his second touchdown in as many games, Theo Wease has given Missouri a 17-7 lead late in the first half.
After forcing a Vanderbilt punt, Missouri drove 59 yards in seven plays. In the process, Brady Cook became the SEC all-time record for consecutive pass attempts without an interception. Cook surpassed former Kentucky QB Andre Woodson, who held the record with 325. Cook's final pass of the drive was a 12-yard score to Wease.
Missouri strikes in the early second quarter
After Vanderbilt's score, Missouri had an answer of its own.
Marching down the field with tosses to Burden, Wease, Brett Norfleet and Marquis Johnson, MU gets into the end zone on a one-yard plunge by Cody Schrader.
Don't worry about the reviews and all that right before. Missouri gets into the end zone anyway.
End of the first quarter: Vanderbilt 7, Missouri 3
Vandy responds, takes the lead
Ken Seals takes the ball and drives through the heart of the Missouri defense. He led the Commodores to a touchdown drive that took a 7-3 lead over Missouri.
That was the first rushing touchdown allowed by the MU defense this season.
The Tigers strike first
After holding Vanderbilt to a three-and-out, Missouri drove down to the goal line and took the points.
Harrison Mevis nailed a 24-yard field goal to put MU up 3-0 early on.
Missouri, which did not convert a third down last week, converted one with a 27-yard toss to Luther Burden. The Tigers converted another third down with a toss to Theo Wease to set up first and goal.
Missouri to kick off
The coin is flipped and Missouri will be kicking to start this game.
The Tigers will get the ball to start the second half.
