Michigan State basketball recruits Xavier Booker, Jeremy Fears: 2023 McDonald's All-Americans
The 2023 McDonald's All-American boys basketball teams were unveiled on Tuesday, and a pair of Michigan State basketball recruits made the cut.
On the East squad is Xavier Booker, the five-star prospect from Indianapolis. The 6-foot-10, 205-pounder is No. 10 player in the class of 2023 according to the 247Sports Composite rankings, the No. 2 center and the top player out of Indiana.
Booker committed to MSU last July.
"It was a long process, being able to build relationships with coaches and going on visits and everything. So it was definitely a lot of fun, for sure," Booker said on Instagram in the summer. "After I released (his top 10) on Monday, me and my family had a long talk. And we kind of just — it was just one school that stuck out the most."

For the West, MSU lays claim to Jeremy Fears, the 6-0, 180-pound point guard from Joliet, Illinois. A four-star recruit, Fears is the No. 30 player in the nation and the top player out of the Land of Lincoln according to the 247Sports Composite.
Fears is the first Illinois native named an All-American since class of 2021 member and former Michigan State guard Max Christie, who now plays for the Los Angeles Lakers.
Last summer, Fears played for Team USA in the FIBA U17 World Cup in Spain and led the Americans to the gold medal, scoring 17 points in the championship game against the host country.
MSU's 2023 recruiting class is ranked third in the nation by 247Sports, behind Kentucky and Duke.
Also on the West team is Bronny James, the son of former McDonald's All-American and Lakers superstar LeBron James.
