Miami Dolphins draft tracker: Follow along with the latest picks in the 2023 NFL Draft
The 2023 NFL Draft is here, and the Miami Dolphins are finally going to be on the clock.
Miami did not have a first-round pick in 2023 after the conclusion of an investigation regarding allegations of tampering and illegal contact involving Tom Brady and Sean Payton.
NFL commissioner Roger Goodell took a first-round pick in 2023 and a third-round pick in 2024, stating that Miami's acts were "unprecedented scope and severity." Additionally, the Dolphins traded another first-round pick for edge rusher Bradley Chubb last season.
The Dolphins are in need of an instant impact tight end, wide receiver or offensive lineman. Miami drafted South Carolina cornerback Cam Smith in the second round with the 51st overall pick, and the Dolphins took Texas A&M running back Devon Achane in the third round at No. 84 overall. The franchise's final two picks come at No. 197 and No. 238 overall in the sixth and seventh round, respectively.

This is familiar territory for the Dolphins. Last year's trade for dynamic wide receiver Tyreek Hill left the franchise without a pick in the first or second round of the 2022 NFL Draft.
The Dolphins selected linebacker Channing Tindall out of Georgia in the third round and wide receiver Erik Ezukanma out of Texas Tech in the fourth round.
