Memphis football coach Ryan Silverfield at Fayetteville-Eagleville High School game
Memphis football coach Ryan Silverfield made the trip to Eagleville on Thursday to watch top-ranked Fayetteville play Eagleville.
Fayetteville (9-0) can wrap up an undefeated regular season with a win. The Tigers feature a pair of players that Silverfield is getting a glimpse of in person in seniors Braxton Wilson and Isaiah Thomison.
Wilson, a 6-4, 245-pound two-way lineman, has 42 total tackles and 13 tackles for loss this season. Thomison, a 6-3, 230-pound linebacker and tight end, has 52 total tackles and 14 tackles for loss.

Silverfield also is getting an early look at sophomore quarterback Samuel Willoughby. Willoughby, who is likely a TSSAA Class 1A Mr. Football candidate, was 11-of-16 passing for 184 yards and four TDs in a 44-6 rout last week against Huntland. For the season, Willoughby is 91-of-135 passing for 1,490 yards with 20 touchdowns and five interceptions.
Silverfield's Tigers have an open week and are off on Saturday.
