Meghan Markle & Prince Harry Celebrate Wedding Anniversary With Zoom Calls & Margaritas

From ELLE

More reports have emerged about how the Duke and Duchess of Sussex celebrated their second wedding anniversary this week. Omid Scobie reports for Harper's Bazaar that Meghan and Harry spent the day off work, reflecting on their 2018 Windsor wedding and video-chatting with their loved ones. The family remains in quarantine in Los Angeles, and made Zoom calls with close friends, family members, and some of the vendors who helped make their wedding what it was.

“They all reminisced about what a beautiful and magical day it was,” a source said, noting the Duke and Duchess made their calls throughout the day. They also enjoyed a number of Mexican dishes, drank margaritas, and exchanged cotton-based gifts per tradition, Scobie reports.

On their actual wedding anniversary, a source told Harper's Bazaar that the couple intended to spend the day quietly with their one-year-old son Archie. "The day will simply be quality time with one another and as a family," according to a source close to the couple. "They're not going to be doing any work and have made sure there are no meetings or calls in the diary."

The Duke and Duchess have been working on their Archewell non-profit, which will be launched later this year. The couple has also volunteered with Project Angel Food to help deliver meals to those in need in the West Hollywood area. Meghan's mother Doria Ragland alerted them to the food insecurity in the area and suggested the organization to them.

A source close to the Duke and Duchess told ELLE.com earlier this month that “if they see a solution they can be involved in, if they can help facilitate, then they’ll do it right then and there." That sentiment drives them in their lives and charitable work.
