Mariska Hargitay Fan Has a Perfect Run In With the Actress

Call a bus, because we aren't over this meet-up!

One Law & Order: Special Victims Unit fan had the flight of their life when they ran into the one and only Captain Olivia Benson, a.k.a. Mariska Hargitay.

It was made even better by the fact that she was wearing an Elliot Stabler (Christopher Meloni) and Benson shirt.

The young woman, named Taylor Colson, shared her exciting run-in with the actress on TikTok, captioning the post, "WHEN YOU ARE WEARING YOUR SVU SHIRT & OLIVIA BENSON IS ON YOUR FLIGHT. mariska is my mother 🤍 #svu #dreamsdocometrue."

To fit with the caption, she added the song "Mother" by Meghan Trainor in the background of the TikTok.

Colson shared a photo she took with Hargitay, with her Law & Order: SVU t-shirt visible.

She also revealed text messages exchanged with her friends throughout the flight, as one person texted her, "OMG YOUR LIFE IS MADE R U OK," with Colson replying, "I'M NOT OK."

Another person texted, "I hope she puts you on her story!!!!!!!"

Luckily for Colson, Hargitay did just that, posting a photo of Colson and her shirt on her Instagram Story.

In the comments, one fan joked about how excited Hargitay looks in their photo together, writing, "It looks like mariska is meeting you lmao 😂."

Many celebrated the meeting with Colson, with one writing, "I’ve never been so happy for a stranger." The young woman wrote back, "this is so kind 🥹 I will never get over this!"

Another wrote, "Omg to meet Olivia benson while wearing Olivia benson 😭 you are living the dream."

Even the NBC TikTok account commented, "i’m obsessed w/ this."

The day after the incident, Colson told the story of what happened during the flight, explaining that she only approached Hargitay to show her the shirt.

Hargitay was very excited to see her, asking to take a picture and exclaiming that she had never seen someone wearing a shirt like that in real life, even showing it to her kids who were with her.

Colson said, "She was so nice. Like, I'm not even joking, one of the nicest people I've ever met."

The TikToker recounted how the two took a photo after the flight and talked a bit about things like what Colson was doing in Nashville, Tennessee, where the flight landed, and what her job was.

Colson, a singer-songwriter, clearly had a wonderful experience meeting Hargitay, and people all over are jealous yet happy that the young woman got to live their Law & Order: SVU fan dream.
