LSU men's basketball schedule update: Tigers to face Kentucky and Alabama at home, SEC
LSU men's basketball's 2023-24 SEC home and away opponents have been announced.
The Tigers will face Kentucky, Ole Miss, Missouri and Mississippi State at home and play Auburn, Florida, South Carolina and Tennessee on the road.
LSU will also go up against Alabama, Georgia, Arkansas, Texas A&M and Vanderbilt at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center and on the road.
Coach Matt McMahon will head into Year 2 of his tenure at LSU with a retooled roster. The Tigers added Louisiana natives Jordan Wright, Jalen Cook, Carlos Stewart and Hunter Dean from the transfer portal while also bringing in Nevada center Will Baker and Kentucky forward Daimion Collins from the portal.
LSU also signed four-star forward Corey Chest and three-star guard Mikey Williams from the Class of 2023.
The NCAA also announced on Thursday that LSU men's basketball, along with the football program, will be on probation for the next three years after the NCAA handed the university a Notice of Allegations in March, 2022 for potential recruiting violations within each program.
