Lily-Rose Depp Looks Ultra Chic in Little Black Dress

Lily-Rose Depp rocked her photocall at the 76th annual Cannes film festival!

The 23-year-old wore a black textured mini-dress for the appearance, which featured a deep scoop neck and a pleated tennis-style skirt, with a black pair of pumps. Her short blonde hair was left in loose waves that rested just above her shoulders, and she wore a thin pair of black sunglasses to complete the look.

Depp, along with Abel 'The Weeknd' Tesfaye, were photographed for their upcoming series The Idol at Palais des Festivals earlier today, May 23.

The controversial HBO show—which has reportedly suffered a number of production issues and internal disagreements—is set to premiere on the network on June 4, 2023.

According to reports, the series' co-creator—Euphoria creator Sam Levinson—took over directing when Amy Seimetz left the project and completely changed the show around. One member of the crew claimed, “It was a show about a woman who was finding herself sexually, turned into a show about a man who gets to abuse this woman and she loves it.”

HBO responded, noting, "The initial approach on the show and production of the early episodes, unfortunately, did not meet HBO standards so we chose to make a change."

Depp isn't letting the bad press get to her, though. She called herself "Little Miss Idol" earlier this month, referencing her pop star character Jocelyn, as she shared a photo in full costume and makeup on Instagram.

After a nervous breakdown, Depp's character meets Tedros (played by The Weeknd), believing him to be capable of bringing her fame to new heights.
