Killer Burger, area's latest burger joint, opens restaurant in South Salem
Killer Burger officially soft-opened on Monday at its new location in South Salem.
The new spot on Kuebler Boulevard Southeast is owned and operated by franchisee Dave Edwards. Through Friday, Killer Burger will be donating 50% of sales to Family Building Blocks, a local nonprofit.
The location will have its official grand opening on May 3 from 4 to 6 p.m.
Killer Burger was founded in Portland in 2010 with the premise of offering a higher quality burger. The chain has locations throughout the Pacific Northwest and has won a number of local awards.
The restaurant has indoor and uncovered outdoor seating. There are almost a dozen outdoor tables and umbrellas. Inside, there are approximately 50 seats, which are a mix of high top, tables and other seating. Two large flat screen TVs are on the right wall, and an upbeat mix of pop and electronic music plays loudly overhead.
“It’s an honor to be able to work with John (Dikos, company CEO) and the team at Killer Burger to bring its delicious offerings to Salem for the first time,” said Edwards. “I believe Killer Burger is the perfect addition to the Salem dining scene, and I couldn’t be more excited to welcome our guests into the restaurant."
Edwards has prior experience as a partner in over 20 Papa John's locations.
In addition to this opening, a location will open in Medford in the coming months, plus West Linn later in the year.
