Celebrities and fans reacted to TikTok star Dylan Mulvaney's recent Bud Light partnership on social media.

Mulvaney, a University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music alumna, partnered with the domestic beer brand for a promotional contest it ran last month. The actor, who is transgender, recently celebrated her "day 365 of womanhood" and said Bud Light sent her a personalized beer can to mark the milestone.

In a statement to Fox News, Anheuser-Busch Companies, LLC – which owns Bud Light, Michelob Ultra, Stella Artois, Budweiser, Busch Light and other beer brands – said Mulvaney's personalized can is not for sale.

“Anheuser-Busch works with hundreds of influencers across our brands as one of many ways to authentically connect with audiences across various demographics and passion points,” an Anheuser-Busch spokesperson told the outlet. “From time to time, we produce unique commemorative cans for fans and for brand influencers, like Dylan Mulvaney. This commemorative can was a gift to celebrate a personal milestone and is not for sale to the general public.”

Mulvaney's Instagram post included the hashtag #budlightpartner, but she did not say she is a new spokesperson for the brand. The beer company has also not announced that she is a spokesperson.

Some of Mulvaney's fans and supporters congratulated her on the partnership through comments on her Instagram post. One response came from Paris Hilton, which read, "Cheers."

Others criticized Bud Light for the partnership and said they would boycott the brand.

Singer Kid Rock posted an Instagram video Tuesday, days after Mulvaney's announcement, of himself firing a gun at boxes of Bud Light beer.

"Grandpa's feeling a little frisky today," the 52-year-old said in the clip. "Let me say something to all you and be as clear and concise as possible. F--- Bud Light. F--- Anheuser-Busch. Have a terrific day."

Former professional baseball player Aubrey Huff also posted about the partnership on Twitter.

"Talk about not knowing your target market. My God how dumb you have to be @budlight?" he wrote Monday. "Can’t wait to see the next quarter sales. #cancelbudlight."

But some social media users didn't understand the backlash.

"I don't even drink Budlight, but I may just have to start," one person wrote on Mulvaney's post. "What is wrong with big brands supporting the LGBTQ+ community? They need all the support with all the hate in the world. I have been a woman almost 45 years and I could give af if Dylan gets all the damn sponsorships. She deserves it all, it is not easy going through a transition and I applaud her. WAY TO GO DYLAN!!!!"

Bud Light has partnered with GLAAD, an LGBTQ+ advocacy group, for over 20 years. In 2019, the beer brand celebrated World Pride by releasing limited-edition, rainbow-colored bottles and donated $1 for every case sold to the organization.
