  • Kate Middleton is skipping two events tonight that she was supposed to attend with Prince William.

  • A Kensington Palace spokesperson says Kate is sitting out because of her children—Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

Alright now, stop the presses: Kate Middleton, future queen and actual queen of showing up to literally everything, will not be joining Prince William for two major events today. To be honest, I am a little concerned!

Mirror Online just reported that Kate was initially set to join William at the Tusk Conservation Awards tonight, and after that, a reception at the National Portrait Gallery. Kate will no longer do either of those events, and apparently it has something to do Prince George, Prince Louis, and Princess Charlotte.

A Kensington Palace spokeswoman said, "The duchess is no longer able to attend the Tusk awards due to the children. She will still however meet finalists at a tea at Kensington Palace this afternoon. The duke as patron will attend both."

As the spokeswoman reported, William and Kate did indeed meet the finalists of the Tusk Conservation Awards, which kinda suggests that George, Louis, and Charlotte are in good health. Since Kate already completed a portion of her royal duties by meeting the finalists, William will take over and attend the remaining events by himself. In the great words of 🎶 Jason Derulo 🎶, he's riding solo.

So why is Kate skipping out on the night's activities? Well, there's always the possibility that George, Louis, and Charlotte are all throwing an epic "I want my mommy" fit. (Of this I am guilty.) Or, gee—maybe Kate just wants a night off with just her and the kids? The girl works hard, and she more than deserves it. Whatever the reason is, I sincerely hope that all the royal bb's are okay!
