The fallout from Prince Harry’s bombshell memoir, Spare, continues, as it’s just been revealed that the tell-all book has caused tension between Prince William and Kate Middleton! According to reports, the Princess of Wales, 41, is unhappy that her husband didn’t “stick up for her more” following Prince Harry’s allegations in the book, which has therefore caused them to have “terrible rows.”

As we know, the royal mantra has always been ‘never complain, never explain,’ so it doesn’t come as a huge surprise to learn that Prince William, 40, hasn’t publicly said anything following the release of his 38-year-old younger brother’s bombshell memoir, which came out in January this year.

Prince Harry's Allegations In 'Spare'

There were many allegations against the royal family in the book, including that Prince William knocked his younger brother "to the floor" during a physical fight about Meghan Markle, and a few against the mom-of-three herself, one of which being that she made the 41-year-old former Suits actress cry in an argument about Princess Charlotte's flower girl dress before the royal wedding in 2018.

However, there were many other allegations, including that Prince William and Kate encouraged Prince Harry to wear a Nazi costume to a Native and Colonial theme party back in 2005, which made headlines around the world. "I phoned Willy and Kate, asked what they thought," Prince Harry wrote. "Nazi uniform, they said. I rented it, plus a silly mustache, and went back to the house. I tried it all on. They both howled."

The Duke of Sussex also accused the Princess of Wales of "reluctantly" letting Meghan borrow her lip gloss at their Royal Foundation Forum appearance in 2018, writing: "Kate, taken aback, went into her handbag and reluctantly pulled out a small tube. Meg squeezed some onto her finger and applied it to her lips. Kate grimaced." He went on to add that all four of them "should’ve been able to laugh" about it, but the press couldn’t help but notice the "awkward moment" was a part of "something bigger."

Kate Middleton Reportedly 'Upset' By Prince William's Silence

Ok! reports the memoir "took a toll on Prince William and Kate Middleton’s relationship," due to some of the allegations, and Kate has "grown increasingly upset that her husband hasn’t snapped back at his brother." A well-placed palace source also reportedly told RadarOnline, "Kate felt William should stick up for her more," adding, "Yet William and the Palace thought that saying nothing was best."

However, one royal source, who was reportedly with Prince William just before Christmas in 2022, told Vanity Fair back in January: "For now he isn’t going to be commenting or reacting, his plan is to ride this all out. At the end of the day he will still be the Prince of Wales, and that’s what he is focused on."

Perhaps Prince William has been specifically instructed to keep a dignified silence, as reporter Richard Palmer tweeted back in January: "Kensington Palace and Buckingham Palace aren’t responding to Prince Harry’s leaked claims from his memoir that William physically attacked his brother or that it was it was William and Kate’s idea for him to wear a Nazi uniform to an infamous fancy dress party. Similarly, there is no comment from the palace on Harry’s description of their father pleading with them after an anguished meeting post Prince Philip’s funeral: 'Please, boys, don’t make my final years a misery.'"

Kate Middleton And Prince William's Marriage 'Isn't All Sweetness'

This news comes following last month's rumors that Kate and William's marriage "isn’t all sweetness," as Tom Quinn wrote in his new book titled Gilded Youth: An Intimate History of Growing Up in the Royal Family that the Wales' have "terrible rows," some of which even cause them to "throw things at each other." We couldn’t believe it, either!
