William sported a top hat and tuxedo with a blue vest, white pocket square, white floral boutonniere and patterned tie for the event. The couple arrived in a horse-drawn carriage with Princess Beatrice and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.

King Charles III and Queen Camilla led the procession, with the Wales behind them. Following William and Kate were Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh and Queen Elizabeth II's cousin Prince Michael of Kent with his wife, Princess Michael of Kent (real name Marie Christine Anna Agnes Hedwig Ida von Reibnitz).

Catherine and William handed out the Commonwealth Cup for the second race of the day at the Royal Ascot.
