Kansas City Chiefs at Houston Texans: Predictions, picks and odds for NFL Week 15 matchup

Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs (10-3) had a close call against the lowly Denver Broncos in Week 14 and now face a Houston Texans (1-11-1) team that almost pulled off an upset of their own last weekend.

Mahomes, JuJu Smith-Schuster, Travis Kelce and Co. are still aiming for the AFC's No. 1 seed but will need to take care of business on the road against a team likely destined to pick first overall in the 2023 draft. The game is scheduled to kick off Sunday at 1 p.m. ET from NRG Stadium.

Lorenzo Reyes: Chiefs 27, Texans 7

The Texans outperformed expectations and covered their game against the Cowboys, nearly pulling off the upset. The Chiefs have failed to cover any of their last four games. Given Kansas City’s speed and athleticism, I think this is an awful matchup for Houston.

Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs could clinch a playoff berth as early as Sunday night.

Safid Deen: Chiefs 30, Texans 13

The Texans gave the Cowboys all they could handle last week, but I don’t think they’ll be so inspired against Kansas City this week. Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs cruise to victory and try to keep pace with Buffalo for the top seed in the AFC.

Richard Morin: Chiefs 42, Texans 20

I give the Texans some credit for taking the Cowboys to the wire, but Houston won't be able to do much if rookie RB Dameon Pierce can't suit up for this one. Even if he's healthy, the Chiefs are just too powerful for the Texans.
