Jimmie Allen, presidential fun, beach guide, sunflower walk, big shows: Your Weekend Guide
Don't know about you but we are not crying over the end of that heatwave.
August is offering more comfortable weather, even if we've had some cloudier periods.
Looking ahead, the forecast in the Wilmington region shows a high of 87 with a mix of clouds and sun Saturday and 86 with more of the same Sunday.
The Phillies are in town playing the Kansas City Royals on Saturday night and Sunday afternoon. So fire up the grill and get those dogs on there, baseball fans.
And now, some more options for your weekend fun:
Hoops for good

Vacation like the president
President Joe Biden and first lady Jill Biden have wrapped up a weeklong vacation in Rehoboth Beach, a southern Delaware city on the Atlantic whose tagline is "The Nation's Summer Capital."
For most people, thoughts of Rehoboth Beach conjure up visions of a crowded beach and boardwalk; the happy faces of children at Funland; and walking about town with Thrasher's fries, Kohr Brothers' ice cream or Grotto Pizza in hand.
But none of those are things a sitting American president can do without risking his own safety and disrupting the lives of everyone in the city, so Joe Biden's Rehoboth Beach vacation looked much different.
Here's how to vacation like the president. Well, sort of.

Speaking of the beach ...
Thinking about a last-minute trip to the Delaware beaches this weekend, but worried accommodations are booked?
We've got you covered. We scoured Airbnb for the best deals in the best locations and found four spots still available for Friday, Saturday and Sunday night this weekend.
And as always, we've got your guide to the first weekend in August at Delaware beaches.
Ride to another era
A wistful trip back in time costs only a quarter in Rehoboth Beach. Consider it the deal of the century.
Drop a coin into a metal slot at the Funland and saddle up Champion, a vintage, coin-operated kiddie ride at the amusement park on the milelong boardwalk, and travel back to the days of a singing cowboy in a big white hat.
National Farmers Market Week
National Farmers Market Week starts Sunday.
We will be doing more farmers market coverage soon, but for now, here is a roundup of places in Delaware to stock up on fresh summer produce and other goodies.
Flower Power
Love getting your steps in while strolling among flowers?
Consider a visit to a sunflower farm.
See a concert under the stars
Check out which big musical artists are headed to Freeman Stage and other venues, including a tribute to Prince on Saturday evening.
