Insider: IU women just beat Kentucky by 21 points. So yeah, these Hoosiers are good
The Hoosiers previous record-high ranking was in the preseason poll, coming off its first-ever Elite Eight appearance. This next jump in the rankings comes after it beat then-No. 13 Kentucky by 21 points Sunday at Assembly Hall. The Hoosiers are 2-0 with the other win coming over Butler.
IU jumped over N.C. State and Stanford, which both lost last week and are on IU’s nonconference schedule. Those teams are now ranked fifth and seventh, respectively
