Interim principal appointed for Whit Davis Elementary School in Athens
The Clarke County School District recently appointed Vickie T. Randolph as interim principal of Whit Davis Elementary School. She assumes the role on Nov. 1.
Former principal Dan McGuire is leaving to take a job with the Georgia Department of Education.
Randolph, with more than 30 years in education, has worked in Clarke County schools since 2018, beginning at Howard B. Stroud Elementary School. In July 2021 she moved to the central office in the Division of Instructional Services and School Performance.

Previously, she had worked at schools in Oglethorpe County, Loganville and Greensboro. She is a native of Crawfordville and earned her doctorate at Georgia Southern University and has educational degrees from the University of Georgia.
