When you talk about big game hunting in Mississippi you're talking about white-tailed deer, but at this ranch you and your guests can hunt anything from red deer to blackbucks in style and it can be yours for $5.5 million.
"It's 925 acres," said Butch Vines, real estate agent with Vines Realty and Land in Hattiesburg. "It's a beautiful place.
"It's an exclusive, high-end hunting resort. It's what I call a turn-key deal. Almost everything comes with it."
Located in Perkinston, the place is known as Cypress Creek Ranch. About 800 acres of the land is enclosed with a high fence. Vines said that land is a mix of pine plantation, pastures and hardwood bottoms.
Vines said improved roads and metal bridges make access easy throughout the enclosure. High-end hunting stands are on the property and some are heated. Vines said commercial grade feeders are located throughout the enclosure, too.

"They've spent a ton of money," Vines said. "The guy has spent 20 years improving and maintaining it. You'd probably have $7 to $8 million in it if you had to recreate it today."
And inside there is plenty of game to hunt, watch and photograph.
"It gives you a whole different perspective," Vines said. "You might see 100 animals in one evening.
"You can sit in a stand and see red deer, which have massive antlers. The axis deer are beautiful. They can get up to 300 pounds. They're beautiful, majestic animals. Of course, you have white-tailed deer, but they have a lot of African game there."

A grand hunting lodge and more
The remainder of the land is where an 8,000-square-foot lodge is located. It has seven bedrooms and eight bathrooms. The kitchen features high-end appliances and the dining table seats 20.
There's an outdoor kitchen and plenty of porch space for relaxing and enjoying the view of the 35-acre trophy bass lake where you can use the ski boat that comes with the deal.
And the power never goes out at this place. It has a 45kw standby generator fueled by a 650-gallon propane tank.
For those who prefer to fly to the ranch, there's a landing strip.
"It's got a 2,000-foot grass landing strip out there," Vines said. "If a person has a small plane, they'll have that access."
There are also workshops and storage buildings for the tractors and other equipment used in day-to-day operations.
"They're leaving the equipment there," Vines said. "Everything you need to operate it will be there."
