Hungry Squirrel Helps Himself To Food Delivery French Fries Like They're His
A TikTok user in Montreal, Canada posted a video on August 10 that may explain why we always worry that our delivery drivers have sampled some of the lunch we've had delivered.
Check out the following clip posted by TikTok account @Giulicollato that shows who the real culprit is.

So that's where the missing french fries went! We love how this little squirrel is just out here living his best life, chilling on the stoop, enjoying his french fries like he's had a hard day at the office and just needs a little snacky snack.
We are actually shocked this doesn't happen more often because 1: french fries are delicious and 2: if you leave food out you can't really expect an animal not to steal it when they can.
TikTok users are applauding this squirrel's dining habits and @Steve comments, "So cute, how could you get mad?" @Stategirl adds, "Can’t be mad about it! Who can resist McDonald’s french fries?!?! A squirrel with a need for the salt and grease! They’re addictive."
We totally get where this squirrel is coming from, but the issue is now that he's had a taste of the good stuff, he'll be back every time he sees a bag on the stoop!
Squirrels are omnivorous, which means they eat both plant and animal matter, including insects, bird eggs, and even - yuck, rodents or baby birds. It all depends on where the squirrel lives and squirrels in the suburbs tend to raid bird feeders and squirrels in urban areas love to root in people's garbage.
A steady diet of french fries isn't good for any animal, and we hope this squirrel followed his little lunch break treat with more squirrel-appropriate foods like nuts, seeds and fruit. And that the delivery address wasn't too cranky about the missing fries!
