Hoover Middle School in Indialantic temporarily evacuated after bomb threat

Students at Hoover Middle School in Indialantic were evacuated Wednesday afternoon after a bomb threat was made, police said.

The school was evacuated at about 12:54 p.m. Wednesday, with police on scene performing a precautionary sweep, according to a Facebook post by Indialantic Police Department.

The school was cleared at about 1:30 p.m., said Russ Bruh, a spokesperson for Brevard Public Schools.

Classes were set to resume as normal for the rest of the day.

Bruhn was not sure how the threat was received but said he believed law enforcement officers were investigating..
