PEORIA — Gabi Haack put her name at the top of the record book and Bradley women's basketball got a signature win over a Big Ten Conference team Friday at Renaissance Coliseum.

Bradley knocked off Wisconsin 64-57 while Haack, the once-in-a-generation senior guard, dropped in 24 points to set the all-time BU career scoring record.

Haack drained a 3 from the right wing for a 53-48 lead with 7:16 left in the fourth quarter, and those points put her past Karen Anderson's career total of 1,679 accumulated from 1979-83.

Haack finished the game with a now-ongoing record 1,686.

"To get the record — my dad was here to watch the game — it was really special. I wouldn't be here for this moment without all my teammates past and present, my coaches, my family."

Game officials took the ball out of play when Haack set the record, and Bradley head coach Andrea Gorski presented it to her in a ceremony accompanied by a video.

When the game ended, the players ran off to the locker room and doused Gorski with water, then surrounded Haack and showered her with water, hugs and congratulations.

"They were hugging on Gabi and they got me pretty good, too," Gorski said, grinning. "I'm so proud of this team. And I'm really proud of Gabi, breaking that record at home. I'm so glad she got it with a win. That's the way she wanted it.

"There's no better person to have that record."

Haack finished with 24 points, including 4 of 7 from 3-point range and 10 of 12 from the free throw line, while adding 8 rebounds.

Teammate Sierra Morrow added nine points and 10 rebounds.
