High school football Week 2 schedule for Acadiana teams
The opening week of the 2023 high school football season featured some big-time contests, with a few living up to the hype while others ending up being lopsided.
Lafayette Christian (1-0) trouncing crosstown rival Acadiana (0-1) was one of the latter, as the Knights ran away from the Rams at their place, 61-38. LSU commit Ju'Juan Johnson scored eight touchdowns and outdueled recent Texas A&M commit defensive linemen Dominick McKinley.
