Here's how Iowa City-area athletes performed at the Iowa high school state track meet

After a jam-packed weekend, the Iowa High School Track and Field Championships have reached their exciting conclusion.

With multiple Iowa City-area schools leading the way in several events, it was yet another example of the city's talent proving that they are more than capable of going toe-to-toe with anyone in the state.

Here are the track athletes from each local school who finished inside the top-10 of their respective events:

City High

Girls came in 13th place in 4A with a team score of 19

  • 400m Hurdles: Eva Reynolds was named the 4A state runner-up after finishing the race in 1:03.36

  • 800m Run: Ani Wedemeyer came in third place after finishing the race in 2:13.08

  • Distance Medley: Ruth Cloyd, Josephine LeClair, Eva Reynolds and Ani Wedemeyer came in fourth place after finishing the race in 4:06.46

Boys came in third place in 4A with a team score of 79

  • 4x800m Relay: City High's quartet of Ammon Smith, Ayman Noreldaim, Ford Washburn and Truman take home the state title and break the state record with their 7:37.66 finish

  • 1600m Run: Ford Washburn was named 4A state runner-up after finishing the race in 4:08.27

  • 3200m Run: Ford Washburn was named 4A state runner-up after finishing the race in 9:13.16

  • High Jump: Matt Shaeckenbach was named the 4A state runner-up after jumping 6-11

  • 110m Hurdles: Matt Schaeckenach and Austin Rindels advanced in Friday's prelims before taking third (14.68 seconds) and fifth (15.02 seconds) place respectively in the finals

  • 800m Run: Truman Thompson was the state runner-up with his 1:53.30 finish, Ammon Smith came in fourth place after finishing the race in 1:54.19

  • Shuttle Hurdle: Matt Schaeckenach, Isaac Washpun, Dominic Roe and Austin Rindels advance in Thursday's prelims before taking fourth place in the finals after completing the race in 59.26 seconds

  • Long Jump: Ronnie Major came in fourth place after jumping 21-00.75

  • Distance Medley: Sam Rew, Ronnie Major, Jeremiah Madlock and Ayman Noreldaim came in fourth place after finishing the race in 3:30.34

  • Discus Throw: Michael Etuma came in sixth place with a throw of 161-01

  • 400m Hurdles: Matt Shaeckenbach came in seventh place after finishing the race in 54.79 seconds

  • 4x400m Relay: Ayman Noreldaim, Ammon Smith, Jeremiah Madlock and Truman Thompson advance in Friday's prelims before taking seventh place in the finals with a 3:20.27 finish

Girls came in 20th place in 3A with a team score of 15

  • 400m Hurdles: Jaylin Herring came in sixth place after finishing the race in 27.02 seconds

  • 4x800m Relay: Kiera Rogers, Haidyn Barker, Sara Kinzebaw and Sam Schrage came in ninth place with a time of 9:51.25

  • 100m Hurdles: Silvana Kabolo advanced in Friday's prelims before taking third place in the finals with a time of 14.97 seconds

  • Shuttle Hurdle: Jaylin Herring, Sydney Pfeiffer, Averie Lower and Silvana Kabolo advance in Friday's prelims before taking third place in the finals with a 1:06.69 finish

Boys came in 41st place in 3A with a team score of 1

  • 4x800m Relay: Brock Hilsman, Cash Jensen, Jamie Hayes and Isaac Sorensen came in eighth with a time of 8:12.57

Girls came in 18th place in 4A with a team score of 11

  • Long Jump: Alexi Thigpen came in third place after jumping 17-05.75, Jasmine Barney came in fourth place after jumping 17-04.50

  • 1500m Run: Cori Mac came in ninth place with a 4:41.91 finish

Boys came in 34th place in 4A with a team score of 1

  • Distance Medley: Jalen Wick, Da'Shon Fisher, Carter Meyers and Aidan Decker came in eighth place after finishing the race in 3:34.11

Regina

Girls came in 57th place in 1A with a team score of 1

  • 100m Hurdles: Reese Naeve advanced in Friday's prelims before taking eighth place in the finals after finishing the race in 16.07 seconds

Girls came in first place in 3A with a team score of 79

  • 400m Hurdles: Sophia Stahle won the state title after finishing the race in 1:04.27

  • Distance Medley: Mia Stahle, Piper Stahle, Anna Quillin and Gracie Federspiel were crowned state champions after finishing the race in 4:08.79

  • 800m Run: Gracie Federspiel is a state champion after finishing the race in 2:12.97

  • 4x800m Relay: Anna Quillin, Grace Hoeper, Ashlyn Williams and Gracie Federspiel were state runner-ups came after finishing with a time of 9:39.11

  • Sprint Medley: Mia Duckett, Emma Wolff, Aly Stahle and Sophia Stahle were state runner-ups came after finishing with a time of 1:48.22

  • Shuttle Hurdle: Mia Stahle, Calla Foster, Sophia Stahle and Aly Stahle advance in Friday's prelims before taking second place in the finals with a 1:05.18

  • 400m Dash: Gracie Federspiel came in third place with a time of 57.28

  • 4x200m Relay: Mia Duckett, Mia Stahle, Aly Stahle and Piper Stahle came in third place after finishing the race in 1:43.85

  • 200m Dash: Aly Stahle advances in Thursday's prelims before taking third place in the finals after completing the race in 25.58 seconds

  • 100m Hurdles: Sophia Stahle advances in Friday's prelims before taking sixth place in the finals after completing the race in 15.04 seconds

  • Discus Throw: Kate Shafer came in seventh place with a throw of 122-07

  • 3000m Run: Kayla Young came in eighth place after finishing the race in 10:52.26

  • Discus Throw: Ben Kampman came in third place with a throw of 178-05 while Adam Smith came in fourth place with a throw of 169-00

  • Shot Put: Adam Smith came in fourth place with a throw of 54-10.25

  • 400m Dash: Jeremy Bachus came in fifth place after finishing the race in 49.33 seconds

  • 4x400m Relay: Rhett Mesch, Blake Timmons, Michael Yeomans and Jeremy Bachus advance in Friday's prelims before taking sixth place in the finals after finishing the race in 3:23.62

  • 3200m Run: Brick Kabela came in eighth place with a time of 9:44.70

  • Sprint Medley: Brayden Moore, Austin Knight, Blake Timmons and Jeremy Bachus came in eighth place after finishing the race in 1:34.41

  • High Jump: Caleb Bock came in ninth place with a jump of 21-00.50

Girls came in 21st place in 4A with a team score of 10

  • High Jump: Meena Tate came in fourth place with a jump of 5-02.00

  • Shuttle Hurdle: Sophia Olivo, Lily McConnell, Hebah War and Erinah Carter advance in Thursday's prelims before taking fourth place in the finals with a 1:04.91 finish

  • 100m Hurdles: Erinah Carter advances in Friday's prelims before taking eighth place in the finals after completing the race in 16.28 seconds

  • 400m Hurdles: Erinah Carter came in ninth place after finishing the race in 1:06.91

Boys came in fifth place in 4A with a team score of 62

  • Distance Medley: West High's quartet of Todd Rent, Christian Janis, Izaiah Loveless and Moustafa Tiea take home the state title with their 3:27.73 finish

  • 4x200m Relay: West High's quartet of Todd Rent, Christian Janis, Aidan Jacobsen and Izaiah Loveless take home the state title with their 1:26.69 finish

  • Shuttle Hurdle: Aidan Jacobsen, Quinn Abbott, Jesus Marungo-Murillo and Christian Janis advance in Thursday's prelims before taking first place in the finals with a 58.19 finish

  • 4x100m Relay: Todd Rent, Izaiah Loveless, Daniel Robinson and Christian Janis advance in Friday's prelims before taking first place in the finals after completing the race in 41.89

  • 400m Hurdles: Aidan Jacobsen was the state runner-up after finishing the race in 52.63 seconds

  • 200m Dash: Izaiah Loveless advances in Thursday's prelims before taking second place in the finals after completing the race in 21.52 seconds

  • 800m Run: Moustafa Tiea came in third place with his 1:53.63 finish

  • 100m WC: Jordan Caperon came in fifth place after finishing the race in 22.62 seconds
