Harrison Ingram, Stanford transfer who reportedly scheduled Xavier visit, commits to UNC
Stanford Cardinal transfer Harrison Ingram committed Saturday to the University of North Carolina Tar Heels.
Ingram had planned visits with UNC, the Xavier Musketeers, the Kansas Jayhawks, the Baylor Bears and the Texas A&M Aggies, according to a report April 12 via Twitter from On3sports.com's Joe Tipton.
Ingram, a 6-foot-7 forward who played the past two seasons at Stanford before entering the portal earlier this month, averaged 10.5 points per game in each of his seasons for the Cardinal.
He averaged 5.8 rebounds and 3.7 assists in 27.9 minutes per game in 33 games last season, starting 32 of them. As a freshman, he averaged 6.7 rebounds and 3 assists in 31.1 minutes per game in 32 games and earned Pac-12 Freshman of the Year honors.
Xavier assistant Adam Cohen spent six seasons on Stanford's coaching staff before joining Sean Miller's staff at XU last April.
XU has added North Texas' Abou Ousmane, Western Kentucky's Dayvion McKnight Rice's Quincy Olivari and Indiana's Logan Duncomb, a former Moeller High School standout, via the transfer portal this month.
