Halle Bailey Calls DDG Her “First Deep, Deep, Real Love”
Halle Bailey opened up about her true feelings for DDG in a recently published interview.
As the cover star for Cosmopolitan magazine’s Style Issue, the Atlanta native shared intimate feelings about her new and refreshing romantic journey.
“These characters are speaking to me and teaching me. It’s cool to learn things about life through their eyes. And all musical inspiration really just comes from life experiences,” detailed the 23-year-old when asked what she has learned through on-screen roles.
“Love has been a really big one for me too, because that’s something I’m experiencing for the first time, and it’s, like, ‘whoa’ in your brain. It’s just fireworks, a spark for creativity.”
The “Angel” singer continued to explain, “You know, you have puppy love experiences, you think that’s love. But this is my first deep, deep, real love.”
Bailey and the Pontiac, Mich. rapper first sparked romance rumors in January 2022. He confirmed their relationship on her birthday that March.
“I don’t really talk about my personal stuff, but I will tell you where I get my creativity from. This has been a really beautiful transformative time for me,” elaborated The Little Mermaid star about creating music inspired by the “I’m Geekin” performer.
Elsewhere in the feature story, the actress shared that her first EP as a solo artist is set to drop before the year is over.
“My music is definitely for the young girl who doesn’t know herself completely yet, who’s growing every day and learning about who she is and about her power. It’s an emotional, vulnerable kind of music. It’s also a love letter to myself and my younger self and my future self,” Bailey confirmed.
