Grayson Police Chief reelected amid malfeasance in office charges
Despite malfeasance in office charges, Grayson Police Chief Mitch Bratton was reelected following Tuesday's mid-term election.
Bratton won the election with 66% with 4 of 4 precincts reporting at 9:32 p.m. against Rocky Cain.
Bratton is currently facing malfeasance in office charges stemming from an ongoing Louisiana State Police investigation following complaints of missing seized currency.
He was indicted in May 2022 on six counts of malfeasance in office, and also faces charges of unauthorized use of a movable, possession of a schedule I drug and possession of a schedule III drug. Previously, he was arrested in 2020 on felony theft charges.
Bratton has served as Police Chief of Grayson, a village of just over 500 people in Caldwell Parish, since 2010.
