SPCA Florida receives grant

SPCA Florida was awarded an Empower Polk grant of $3,326 from the GiveWell Community Foundation for surgery tools to increase spay and neuter capacity in the Adoption Center Surgery Center. GiveWell Community Foundation’s Empower Polk grant cycle aims to help local nonprofits invest in their organization’s efficiency and sustainability. Funding from the Empower Polk grant will allow SPCA Florida to purchase of eight spay packs for the new adoption center surgery center.

Shandale Terrell receives appreciation award

Omega Auntie Mothersill, Ph.D., CEO of the Women Business Leaders & Entrepreneur Pageant, presented the Women Business Leaders & Entrepreneur Pageant Appreciation Award to Shandale Terrell, Ed.D., at the group's pageant gala June 17 in Orlando. The acknowlegment was  in recognition of his service on the judging team for the 2022 Women Business Leaders & Entrepreneur Pageant.
