FSU football wide receiver Johnny Wilson exits game versus Virginia Tech in third quarter
Florida State football wide receiver Johnny Wilson left Saturday's game against Virginia Tech with an injury early in the third quarter.
Wilson went down on the Seminoles' first play from scrimmage in the second half, falling awkwardly while being tackled after hauling in a 13-yard catch from quarterback Jordan Travis.
Wilson was helped off the field by members of the athletic training staff and was taken to the sideline medical tent for further evaluation.
He eventually walked to the locker room with just over 13 minutes left in the third quarter.
It appeared Wilson injured his lower body/leg.
"We'll see," Florida State football head coach Mike Norvell said of Wilson's status postgame. "Obviously wasn't able to come back. We'll see what that looks like as we move forward this week."
Following the game and Norvell's press conference, Wilson took to X/Twitter and said he was feeling good.
I’m straight! Love these boys man! #GoNoles

Wilson caught two touchdown passes on four receptions for 52 yards (13.5 yards per catch) in the game before exiting.
Travis went into the tent to check on Wilson and the FSU quarterback emerged shortly after.
Redshirt junior Kentron Poitier replaced Wilson, making his first appearance of the season since the opener against LSU.
The Seminoles scored on the play after Wilson's injury as running back Trey Benson scored a 62-yard touchdown to give the Seminoles a 29-17 lead.
