Former Home & Away and Neighbours star Axle Whitehead announces his engagement
Home and Away and Neighbours star Axle Whitehead has announced that he is engaged to his girlfriend of seven years, Liezl Carstens.
The actor, who played Home and Away's Liam Murphy between 2009 and 2013 and guested on Neighbours as Zenin Alexio earlier this year, shared the news on his Instagram.
Posting three photos of the ring, Liezl showing it off, and the pair kissing, Axle wrote: "Pulled the trigger and got a Yes! Game on!! #f**kyoucorona #shesmine #happylife."

Whitehead's Home and Away character Liam featured on the soap for 5 years, and during that time had a number of storylines related to his drug addiction. Liam was also in a relationship with Bianca Scott, with the pair marrying in 2012 before later splitting up.
As well as his roles in the Aussie soaps, Axle went over to Hollywood to try and forge a career. Although he didn't break through in the way the Hemsworths had, he had multi-episode roles in both Shameless US and Marvel's Agents of SHIELD.
The latter actually saw him reunite with fellow Home and Away and Neighbours alumni Luke Mitchell, who played the Inhuman Lincoln Campbell across seasons 2 and 3.
