Florida Designer Nellie Howard Ossi Launches A Colorful New Collection With Dillard’s
Just in time for spring entertaining.

The first official day of spring may be a few weeks away but we’re ready to welcome the season in style with Nellie Howard Ossi’s new collection from Dillard’s. Daughter of talented designer Phoebe Howard, the Jacksonville, Florida native teamed up with The Southern Living Collection at Dillard’s to launch an assortment of spring entertaining essentials.
The line launches today, March 7, 2023, and includes everything you need to celebrate and enjoy the warm weather, including pool towels, tabletop linens, outdoor pillows, and even picnic accessories. As a true Southerner, Ossi designed everything with indoor-outdoor entertaining in mind, so each piece looks just as natural on a formally set dining table—say for an occasion like Easter—as it does poolside for a more casual gathering.

“Versatility is paramount so I wanted to create a collection that could be a brand new collection as a whole for someone, or you can mix in some of my new pieces with your existing collection,” Ossi says. “I wanted to find new ways to bring to life heirloom pieces that may have been gathering dust in your home and make them feel fresh and current.”
According to Dillard’s, Ossi's style is a “reflection of her coastal Southern upbringing with a fresh take on classics and timeless design.” This translates to vibrant colors—imagine pinks, yellows, blues, and greens—and classic prints like stripes on pool towels and more unexpected patterns such as floral tablecloths and pillows.

“If I had to pick a favorite piece, it would be the block print plates—in particular the pink ones,” she admits. “I think pink has gotten a makeover and people aren’t as afraid to incorporate it anymore. To me, it’s just as versatile as any other color and has so much personality.”
