Will Ferrell's Sons Are All Grown Up in Rare Shots From 'Barbie' Premiere
Will Ferrell's picture-perfect sons made a rare carpet appearance at the Barbie movie premiere in London on July 12.
The Anchorman star adhered to the pink and black dress code, wearing a pink tie with a black suit, as he posed with wife Viveca Paulin and boys Magnus, 19, Mattias, 16, and Axel, 13. Mattias and Axel dazzled in blue suits with black shirts, matching their mom's cerulean gown. Magnus went for a combination of both dress code colors, in a wine-colored suit. The kids were there to support their dad, who plays Mattel's CEO.
The last time the teens appeared on the red carpet with their dad was at the premiere of Ferrell's movie Daddy's Home 2.
While speaking to Parade in 2018, the Elf star shared that his oldest son inherited his sense of humor. "He's very subtly funny. Last year for his yearbook photo, he borrowed another kid's glasses. He doesn't wear glasses. There he is with this very serious look with glasses on."
The comedic actor shared that he commended Magnus on the goofy photo prop, telling the boy, "'Magnus, that is so subversive and funny. Totally my sense of humor.' He's like, 'Am I in trouble?' Like, 'No, you've got to do it every year! Fantastic!'"
Magnus also got his dad's musical talents. The college student is currently studying music at USC. In December 2022, Magnus' band opened for Psychedelic Furs at a Cancer for College benefit event, at which Ferrell joined his kid's band on the cowbell, making reference to his iconic SNL sketch.
Meanwhile, Ferrell's son Mattias also followed his dad's footsteps, appearing in Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues.
