Fernando Tatis Jr. rehabs with Chihuahuas; here's when to watch the MLB star in El Paso
San Diego Padre Fernando Tatis Jr.'s 15-day stay with the El Paso Chihuahuas started Tuesday.
The 2021 National League home run leader's rehab assignment precedes the end of his 80-game suspension for performance-enhancing drugs.
El Paso will begin a six-game series with Albuquerque on April 11 at Southwest University Park, and Tatis should be available for all those games. He is eligible to return to the major leagues on April 20.
Tatis had indicated he wanted to come to El Paso for his rehab assignment to play for manager Phillip Wellman and hitting coach Raul Padron, who were with him in 2017 and '18 in Double-A San Antonio.

Tatis was optioned on a 15-day assignment. His first game was Tuesday in Sacramento.

He is eligible to return to the major leagues on April 20.
