Farmer's Almanac predicts a 'cool' and dry summer 2024 in Georgia
After a mild, wet winter in 2023, Georgians are predicted to see a cool — yes, cool — summer in 2024, according to the 2024 Farmer's Almanac.
The Farmer's Almanac says that winter in the Peach State will have 'above normal' temperatures and precipitation. The coldest temperatures are predicted for late December and early to mid-February. The best chance for snow occurs in late January and mid-February.
"Unlike most of the U.S., the Southeast (most of North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia) will escape the colder and snowier winter temperatures," the Almanac notes.

Looking at the spring and summer months, the Farmer's Almanac forecasts April and May will be 'warmer and wetter than usual' in the southeast region.
If the prediction is correct, Georgians should be excited by the summer 2024 outlook.
The Farmer's Almanac expect coolers than normal temperatures in Georgia, with below-normal precipitation. However, mid-July may bring tropical storms and watch for hurricanes in early July to September.
