Fan throws bag of ashes at Pink during tour concert

Pink paused her performance at a recent concert to address a fan who threw a bag containing their mother's ashes on stage.

The "Raise Your Glass" singer took it in stride, though she appeared understandably confused in footage circulating on social media.

"This is your mom?" Pink can be heard asking in a video as she picked up the bag. "I don't know how I feel about this."

The 43-year-old walked with the bag to the front of the stage and set it down before continuing singing "Just Like a Pill."

Pink was performing at BST Hyde Park in London as part of her Summer Carnival tour, with two dates at the venue on Saturday and Sunday.

She shared a recap video on Instagram. "@bsthydepark it is the joy of my life to play with all of you. I am never not grateful," she wrote. The ash-throwing incident was not incorporated into her video.

USA TODAY has reached out to Pink's rep for comment.

This isn't the first time a miscellaneous object has been thrown on stage during a performance. Last summer, a fan tossed a chicken nugget at Harry Styles at New York City's Madison Square Garden while vying for his attention. And the ash-throwing comes on the heels of two separate incidents at shows stateside that made headlines.

Last week, Ava Max said an audience member slapped her while she performed during a show in Los Angeles. Pop singer Bebe Rexha had to be hospitalized earlier this month after an audience member threw a phone at her during a concert, the New York Police Department confirmed in a statement to USA TODAY.
