Early 'Golden Bachelor' Spoilers Revealed
Gerry Turner has taken America by storm as the first senior The Golden Bachelor star—and ABC recently announced the lucky 22 women vying for his heart.
Although his hotly-anticipated reality show won’t premiere until Thursday, Sept. 28, spoilers are already leaking about widower Gerry’s final two ladies, plus other details.
As Parade.com previously reported, the handsome and sincere 71-year-old restaurateur from Indiana lost his wife Toni six years ago.
He tearfully spoke about her shocking 2017 death in a Golden Bachelor trailer aired on Charity Lawson’s “Men Tell All" The Bachelorette special.
Gerry told the cameras, “We went to the emergency room and she had a bacterial infection that infected her kidneys and infected her liver. So I took my wife to the emergency room on July 7th. She passed away on July 15th [2017].”
After years of grieving, Gerry is ready to find another special woman and his choices will include the former wife of an MLB player, the mother of a previous Bachelor star, and an ex-professional ice skater. They range in age from 60 to 75.

Gerry has said he really wants to "fall in love," and "[wants] to find [his] person who can put me in my place when I need it and make me smile at it. The person who can lay down beside [me] at night, not have to say anything, and you feel it. That’s love. That’s what I want, and I know that person’s out there.”

What does Gerry do on one of his one-on-one dates?
The Instagram account @thebetchelor has revealed that Gerry drives one lovely lass on an ATV. The photo shows adventurous Gerry creating plenty of smoke with the vehicle as the unnamed gal hangs onto his waist.
Which final three women make it to Gerry’s hometown dates?
Bachelor franchise expert Reality Steve took to Instagram to claim that Faith Martin, 60, from Benton City, Washington, will get to the hometown episode.
According to Steve, it was filmed on Aug. 19.
Although fans will have to tune in to the show to confirm, Faith looks like a strong contender as she had a podcast about dating in her 50s. She’s a musician, radio host and high-school teacher who also loves riding horses.
Reality Steve has contended that Leslie Fhima, 64, also gets a hometown visit with Gerry, which was shot on Aug. 21. Super-fit Leslie is an aerobics instructor from Minneapolis, Minnesota. She’s also a former professional ice-skater.
The third lady who received a hometown visit, according to Steve, is Theresa Nist, 69, from Shrewsbury, New Jersey. The pretty financial services professional apparently filmed her hometown date with Gerry on August 23, Steve has alleged.
Who are Gerry’s final two?
After Faith is eliminated in third place, Leslie and Theresa are the finalists, Reality Steve has reported. He told fans on Instagram that the two met Gerry’s family, which includes two daughters and grandchildren, a couple of weeks ago.
Where did Gerry film with his final women?
Steve noted that Gerry, Leslie and Theresa shot the finale in romantic Costa Rica. Host Jesse Palmer posted a photo on Instagram that also looked like that locale!

How will The Golden Bachelor’s season be different?
The first episode will be one hour on ABC from 8 to 9 p.m. ET instead of the usual two hours the franchise has usually aired. Also, The Golden Bachelor will run on Thursdays instead of Mondays because of ABC’s Monday night football commitment. Season 9 of Bachelor in Paradise, which also has spoilers, will run from 9 to 11 p.m. ET following The Golden Bachelor beginning on Sept. 28.
How fast did Gerry’s season film?
According to Reality Steve’s timeline—and a clue from host Jesse that The Golden Bachelor started shooting on the first week of August—Gerry only had one month to pick his person! Other versions of the franchise have had up to seven weeks of filming.
Did Gerry have trouble navigating the fast shoot?
Yes! The sexy senior admitted to the Los Angeles Times, “It’s been a whirlwind. The activity is coming at me much faster than I expected. I tried to ramp myself up but I didn’t do a good enough job of it. There’s wonderful women here that I have had the pleasure to know but I’ve needed to get to know them in a hurry. That was unexpected. I thought there would be more time for in-depth and casual conversations.”
